Andrea’s Guest Post: The Family that Reads Together

Sunday, August 16, 2009.

Thanks to a generous offer from blogger Bianca Schulze,  Andrea had the honour today of guest blogging at The Children’s Book Review.

A huge thanks to Bianca for the invitation!

It was a true pleasure to have the opportunity to write — rather than gab — about the payoffs for parents who read aloud.

We hope you will pop over and check it out at:

Andrea,

I really enjoyed your article on TCBR. Last night was the first time we’d read to our (8 month old) daughter and got an undeniably engaged, intense positive reaction beyond JUST wanting to eat the book. Looking forward to more of the same!

I noticed on the TCBR site that they had reviewed “Starring Lorenzo, and Einstein Too” by Mark Karlins. http://www.thechildrensbookreview.com/weblog/2009/07/budding-geniuses.html

I thought I’d talk him up for a potential interview on your site… Mark’s a super talented writer from my own critique group and he’d be an eccentric, interesting interview! He’s had a handful of books published including a NY Times bestseller.
Look him up and give him a buzz– I’m sure he’d be thrilled to do an interview.
