Rock Stars of Reading part 21: The Drive Home

Tuesday, May 19, 2009.

The drive home from Northampton was the longest eight hours of our lives not because of the weather (we experienced sun, clouds and a spectacular if short snow storm) or the traffic (there wasn’t much) but because of the amazing memories that we collected and friends we made and how we seemed to be going further away from both.  Fortunately, those friendships remain and the memories are still with us; they have helped shape the way we enjoy and understand children’s books.

In this final installment of the Rock Stars of Reading we reflect on the what we experienced and consider the impact those experiences will have on us.

Kind of sad to see this installment come up, knowing it’s the last of such a great series. Thanks for putting it all together. It was lots of fun top watch!

This has been so great, so informative, and I looked forward to it each week (in some cases, every day!). Sad to see it end. Thanks for all the hard work, and for sharing this!

I was out of town—and offline—all week, so I’m late, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARK!

Thanks so much for all the work that went into creating this series! Our family was away on our own vacation when most of these posted, and now I’ve a lot of catching up to do. But I’m listening to every one, and loving it all! What a wealth of content — Thanks for letting us join in on your adventure!
